Groceries! Is it really an issue?

The million dollar question.  Where do you get groceries when you live downtown?  We know this will be an issue for us, so I thought I’d start a catetory about options for stocking the frig and pantry!  Just learned this today that  St. Anthony and Urban Agrarian are kicking off the MidTown Market this Friday, May 13 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM.  They are located in the East Walker Avenue parking plaza.  Very convenient!   They will have Free Range eggs, chicken, lamb, beef from local ranchers, yogurt and cheeses from a completely pasture-based dairy in Helena, Earth Elements line of Oklahoma Whole Wheat products (tortillas, pizza crusts, and rolls) plus a variety of cookies made using local eggs and butter, Elemental coffee,  salad greens, spinach, rainbow chard, kale, mustard greens, collard greens, turnip greens, spring garlic and onions, Prairie Thunder Bakery focaccia loaves and baguettes plus a variety of other loaves.

So, I guess we will add this to our list of things to try after we get moved in.  Looks like move-in date will be late June!  Can’t wait.

  1. Fresh food each week? Might as well shop there and skip the lines at WalMart!

  2. I was hoping Braums would open a store downtown which would help with a lot of the grocery shopping!
