A photo tour of our downtown apartment

I’ve had tons of requests for photos, so here ya go!

We’ve been at the Legacy Apartments at Art’s Quarter in downtown Oklahoma City for almost one month! I’m including photos of living, dining, kitchen, laundry and porch and a few “beauty shots” of the pool/hot tub area.  The two bedrooms and two bathrooms will come in my next post.  They are still getting a few final touches and are very “lived in” right now.  We live on the first floor and are only about 100 yards from our covered parking spaces.

We’re still loving this adventure. I don’t feel like we are getting the full benefit yet, because it is too freaking hot to walk anywhere!!  I do walk to one of my clients office downtown two times each week.  About 4 blocks.   It takes about 8 minutes to get there and about 30 minutes to cool down after I arrive.  I will really enjoy the walk when it cools down a bit!  I got caught in the Thursday afternoon rain storm on my walk home last week.  But, honestly, I was so glad to see rain, I actually enjoyed it!

Here’s a few of the things I plan to cover in future posts.  Please give me your feedback and let me know if there is anything else you are curious about.

1.  Monthly cost comparison – suburbia vs. downtown

2. Our favorite downtown spots.

3. What’s downtown like on weekends?

4. Entertaining downtown – Will friends come?

5.  Thinking about a bike!

6.  Our very own handy man.

Stay tuned!

  1. Interested in the cost comparisons. Also, yes, your friends will come downtown. I want to try “Stella’s” this summer.

  2. Come on! We love Stella’s! Flatbread Pizza is soooo good.

  3. I have a bike you can borrow for a while before you make a real investment – MP

    • Absolutely! I will take you up on that. I’m so afraid to go buy one because it might be like the gym membership, the treadmill and the eliptical that I buy and never use.

  4. So interested to follow your adventure! I, too, am interested in cost comparisons, grocery shopping and your adaptation from suburbia! Keep those posts coming!!

  5. Looks great, Kathy and Andy!!! After the ATT repair guy announced “you have WAY too much crap in your attic for us to find out which wires are causing the voltage interference problem”, I have to admit, I’m a bit jealous that you were able to purge so much! Not only have I hung on to my kids’ old toys…I also have many of mine…such a sickness!! :O
